The name of our shop, Red Circle Letterpress, comes from our Kluge presses and the state they were in when we found and purchased them. They were covered in red circles from, what we think, was the last job run on them. The previous owners were printing red door hangers and die cutting the circles from them. So there were solid red circles in every nook and cranny of the presses. We are still finding them when we drop things in the press. The flywheel on our main press was also covered with a piece of masonite that was painted red many years ago. We have since removed the damaged flywheel cover, but we plan on replacing it with a new Red Circle.
